The Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta is accepting essays by JET Program alumni that will be posted on our website to promote tourism by foreigners in Japan. Essays should be two, double-spaced pages long (think JET application essay!) and introduce any site in Japan that really inspired you, be it a little-known ancient temple, secluded beach, or famous tourist site. Please send 3 or 4 photographs along with your essay. We will post one essay per month on our website (www.japanatlanta.org ) on the first of each month, so please submit your essay to both jet@cgjapanatlanta.org and ike@cgjapanatlanta.org by the 15th of the previous month in order to be considered. Please include your name, the years you spent on the JET Program, and the name of your prefecture. Essays not selected for one month may be used in subsequent months. Unfortunately, we cannot compensate you if your essay is chosen, other than the fame you will obtain from your essay being read by the thousands of visitors to our website! Any questions can be directed to jet@cgjapanatlanta.org . We look forward to reading your essays and hearing about all the fabulous places you visited in Japan!
