INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS LUNCHEON: JAPANESE BUSINESS VENTURES IN SOUTH CAROLINA
During the past year, Japan has launched several South Carolina businesses in the aircraft, automotive, and other industries.
JET Alumna Aiyana Victoria Mathews, guest consultant with expertise in international business, will update us on Japan and its business expansion efforts in South Carolina. A representative from AHT Cooling Systems USA, a member of the Daikin group, will brief us on their operations in the state. AHT specializes in commercial refrigeration technology for the retail food market.
Ms. Mathews founded Gardner-Mathews Global Management in 2014, which provides market research, global expansion and strategic sales support, and customized travel itineraries. She sits on the marketing advisory council for the Trident United Way in Charleston and served on the planning committee for the 30th anniversary of JapanFest, the largest Japanese cultural event in the southeastern United States. Ms. Mathews holds a B.S. from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
